Tamara Parkin wanted to bridge the generational gap in her community through volunteerism. She paired up with the “Students 4 Seniors” Youth Volunteer Group and Villa St. Vincent, a local assisted living facility to great shrugs and memories. There was a total of 43 volunteers who helped with this project! The volunteer group was able to purchase enough fabric for 21 shrugs thanks to the Difference Maker Fund. Tamara shares that the girls learned a great deal about crafting and volunteerism through their elders and that the memories made through their project are everlasting!
