The Difference Maker Fund grant supports Royal Neighbors Members who are making a difference in their communities through volunteerism. If approved for funding, you will receive $200 to complete your volunteer project.
Whether you want to volunteer with your immediate family or you are looking for something that will bring together a large group, here are a variety of ideas to get you inspired.
Individual volunteer ideas:
- Knit or quilt donation items
- Help neighbors with yardwork/planting flowers
- Send cards to deployed military
- Make and deliver meals for homebound residents
- Adopt a student in need
Family/small group volunteer ideas:
- Host a lemonade stand fundraiser for a local nonprofit
- Clean up a local park or playground
- Host a supply drive for children in need
- Create tie blankets for nursing homes or hospitals
- Build a little free library for your community
Large group volunteer ideas:
- Assemble care packages
- Host a golf outing/event fundraiser for a nonprofit
- Create booklets of verses/humor/etc. for a retirement home
- Prepare meals and donation items for the homeless community
- Organize a school supply drive

- Apply for a Difference Maker Fund project
- If approved, we will mail you a check for $200
- Purchase materials for your project
- Invite friends and family to join your efforts
- Conduct your project and deliver items or dollars collected
- Submit your final report
