No matter your age, volunteering is something that we all can do. From picking up a local park to sewing a quilt for someone in a nursing home, every act of service impacts your neighbors in some way.
Projects for Children:
- Make cards for individuals in a retirement home
- Deliver baskets of joy to neighbors (keep things bright and cheerful)
- Clean up their favorite park
- Tie Fleece Blankets to donate to hospitals or shelters
- Paint “kindness rocks” to leave around town as a surprise to those that find them
Projects for Adults:
- Read to students
- Sort, fold, and clean clothes for a used goods store
- Go grocery shopping for a neighbor
- Help pack care packages for the military, families in the hospital, students, etc.
- Create and deliver food baskets for families in need during the holidays
Projects for Seniors:
- Host a cooking class for moms
- Support a church event
- Provide baked goods for a local bake sale
- Prepare food for election volunteers
- Make check-in calls for a local nonprofit

As a Royal Neighbors Member, you can apply for a Difference Maker Fund grant once a year to help offset the costs of your volunteer project. If approved, you will receive a $200 check to make a positive social impact in your community. Learn more and apply today!
